true freedom

​As we fire up the grills and prepare for fireworks in celebration of Independence Day, I encourage you to pause.  The celebratory routines are fun, but what happens after the great food and fireworks are gone?  Truth be told, millions will sink back into mental or spiritual bondage which has become the norm.  Whether it is them feeling bound by their situation, which they fear will never change, or bound in their mind, tortured by their past.  The issues of life can easily entangle and overwhelm us for sure.

However, there is a remedy and a way to be truly set free.  if you find yourself bound in your mind, body or spirit, I encourage you today.  There is hope and an answer that works.  How do I know, you ask?  Because I once was lost and bound by my circumstance until Christ set me FREE. It was like nothing I had ever experienced before.  I'm not talking about rules or religion, but of a real relationship with a God who loves me and custom created me.  A God who loves me unconditionally with all my flaws and frailties.  Because of His love and kindness towards me, I was able to place all my mess, disappointments and insecurities at His feet and trade them for freedom.  True freedom that only comes through Him.

On this Independence Day I encourage you to invite Him into your heart if you haven't already.  It's easy.  Simply open your mouth and invite Him into your heart. He is ever present and waiting on you to open the door. I guarantee you it will be the BEST decision you will ever make, and from this day forward you can truly celebrate Independence Day with new meaning.
