![]() We are into the second month of a new year. Some have gotten off to a great start. However, there are others who have found themselves distracted, discouraged or defeated. It's a good time to do a quick assessment and reset if needed. What do you want this year? Why do you want it? And last but not least, how are you going to get it. The enemy is clear about the awesome plans that God has for you, and that's why he focuses so hard to get you off track. But the question is, are you clear about that plan and are you willing to do what you have to do to walk in it? Are you REALLY ready to walk in your destiny are you just playing around? Regardless of which side of the spectrum you sit, I challenge you today to ask yourself, am I currently living in the fullness of what God has for me? Am I actively using my gifts and talents and pursing my life's purpose? If not, the next question is why not? Could fear, doubt or distractions be getting in your way? How about a long list of excuses you have held on to for far too long? Some may be dealing with exhaustion because they have been fighting with the real issues of life hitting them upside the head daily. Regardless of what you have determined is the reason you may not be fully living at your maximum capacity and fulfilling ALL God has for you, the great news is today is a new day. God gives us brand new mercies every day (Lamentations 3:23), and with each day you have a brand new opportunity to fully pursue God's purpose and plan for your life.
As children of God, we are victorious. We are on a winning team. However, there is work for us to do as we surge forward. We can sit on the sidelines and live in a constant state of would've, should've, and could've, or we can take a stand, cloth ourselves in the full armor we have been provided by God (Ephesians 6:10-18). We have got to pray like never before, renew our minds daily, be on guard and leave no cracks or room for the devil to creep in. We've got to fight for what's ours. We have to fight for our families, fight for our children and fight for our futures. We have to be willing to take what's ours by force (Matthew 11:12). As we move forward in a world of unrest and time of uncertainty, be courageous and of good cheer, God is with you and everything He promised shall come to pass if you don't give up (Galatians 6:9).
