![]() It's hard to believe we are just a few weeks away from a new year. As I prepare the Thanksgiving menu for my family, I was prompted to stop and reflect on the real reason for this season. Often times in our quest to achieve success and pursue our purpose, it is easy to be so laser focused on where we are going and want to be, that we totally ignore where we are. I don't know about you, but for me personally, I am learning to make a conscious decision to pause often and enjoy my journey. Perhaps like you, I have a long list of things I am striving to achieve and things that are constantly on my prayer list. However, this Thanksgiving, I realize it is important to pause and give thanks for the things God has already done.

![]() My husband loves the television program Antique Roadshow, where individuals bring in items often passed down by relatives or found in attics or at garage sales. During the Roadshow, experts from around the world assess the items and place a value on them based on their expanded knowledge of the item and it's origin. It's always fascinating to see someone who brings something that others have told them is worthless or a piece of junk, only to find that it's value is actually beyond measure. I've seen laughter and tears from guests who are overwhelmed with emotion at the value of their hidden treasure. |
