What is the difference between counseling and coaching?

​Counseling focuses on helping a person understand and heal their past as they move into the future; whereas coaching focuses on the present and seeks to empower them to succeed in the future.  


What should I expect from coaching sessions?

Coaching sessions are designed to help guide clients to the answers that lie in reach.  Session take place face-to-face, by phone or virtually, and allow individuals a safe space where clients can share freely without fear of judgement.  A coaches role is to bring out the greatness and hidden treasures within, through introspective questions, guided conversation and by helping clients identify solutions.  Clients are the star of the show and get out of the coaching sessions what they put in. The coach is there to provide guidance, encouragement and support.
